About the event

Embark on a transformative journey of healing and self-discovery with the Sexploratorium's empowering class, "Recovering From Religious Trauma."

Are you grappling with the aftermath of religious trauma, seeking a supportive community to aid in your recovery? Our expert-led class is a compassionate sanctuary designed to guide individuals through the nuanced process of healing from the emotional and psychological impacts of religious trauma. This class provides a safe and inclusive space where participants can openly explore their experiences, share their stories, and find solace in the understanding community of fellow journeyers.

Throughout the course, participants will engage in thoughtful discussions, therapeutic exercises, and practical strategies tailored to help rebuild self-worth, navigate complex emotions, and reclaim autonomy after experiencing religious trauma. By addressing the unique challenges posed by religious trauma, our aim is to foster an environment where individuals can regain a sense of control over their narratives and embark on a path towards emotional well-being.

Join us at the Sexploratorium, where compassion meets knowledge, and recovery intersects with personal growth. This class is not just about overcoming religious trauma; it's a profound opportunity to rediscover your strength, connect with others on a similar journey, and build a foundation for a brighter, more empowered future. Embrace the support you deserve and take the first step toward recovery and renewal.

We’re Denver’s home for research-based, shame-free, embodied, and inclusive sex education.  Everything you should have learned in high school and more.  We believe sex education should be pleasure-focused and accessible to all!

About the Instructor:

Hi! I'm Sarah Kate (aka SK) Wilder. I'm a Licensed Therapist, pan &  poly person and survivor of religious trauma. I am so grateful to  connect and provide tools to support your healing from adverse religious  experiences.  I hope this workshop will be a space  of empowerment, to move through shame and fear toward owning your  worthiness and authentic self.
