HIV AIDS
Early HIV symptoms include extreme fatigue, flu-like symptoms such as fever, sore throat, and swollen lymph nodes. As the infection progresses to AIDS, you might experience rapid weight loss, persistent diarrhea, frequent fevers, chronic severe infections, unusual skin blotches, respiratory problems, and persistent coughing.
Transmission: HIV is spread through contact with infected blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. This can happen during unprotected sex, sharing needles, or from mother to child during childbirth or breastfeeding.
Prevention: Prevent HIV by using condoms, not sharing needles, ensuring blood products are tested, taking pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) if at high risk, and having regular HIV screenings.
